The individual will be responsible for: Control system support for development and certification engine tests for both control system verification tests and in support of overall engine development tests. Interacting with project and test personnel in defining test procedures, including instrumentation and setup.Troubleshooting of control system, downloading and interpreting data. Writing related tests and certification reports. The candidate must focus on the importance of customer responsiveness, meeting program milestones on schedule, emphasizing product cost and cycle time while improving product quality. Support HTF7000 engine testing as well as develop test plans and evaluate test data for the HTF7000 control system programs for existing, derivative and new applications. Provide control system support as necessary for all engine and flight testing. Complete program goals on schedule and budget. Improve the quality and reliability of the engine control system and its components. Work with software logic designers to determine testing necessary for development and certification. Oversee the engine test portion of the software validation and certification activities. Create the related certification documentation necessary for FAA approval.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Additional Qualifications
Basic understanding of gas turbine engines and control systems is desired.
Knowledge of matlab and digital control systems and logic development is a plus.
Experience with DO-178 software development cycle and documentation is a plus.
Experience with DO-160 is a plus.
Work with a cross-functional team using total quality tools and interpersonal skills.
