Engineer II - Product Design
Torrance, CA
The Project Engineering role will be responsible for the design, development and qualification of heat transfer products. This individual will work within a team environment (IPDS) to solve programatic, technical, manufacturing, and field issues. The Project Engineer will prepare and conduct program reviews with internal and external customers and work closely with functional support groups and program management to ensure that optimum solutions are developed and provided to our customers. Additionally, this individual will provide technical support of our products to the Integrated Supply Chain organization and aftermarket customers, including Honeywell Repair & Overhaul facilities worldwide.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have comprehensive technical understanding of heat transfer and structural analysis principles, design/drawing standards and tolerancing schemes, testing processes, and system operations. This individual will also have testing experience with specific knowledge of test processes for heat transfer components and systems for the purpose of validating performance and structural integrity of the equipment within the intended operating environment. This individual will also possess the ability to provide cost and schedule estimates for the development projects and manage program cost, schedule and both programmatic and technical risks.

Candidate must be a U.S. Person: Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien, due to program requirements.
Basic Qualifications: Candidate must be a U.S. Person: Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien, due to program requirements.Candidate must have a Bachelors degree or higher in EngineeringCandidate must have at least three years of directly related professional experience.
Additional Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal.
Ability to prepare and make persuasive presentations.
Ability to work in a team environment, motivate individual team members and lead the team in reaching consensus.Ability to conduct root cause/failure analysis and develop corrective action plans.An understanding of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) process is a plus.Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma/DFSS tools, techniques and processes is desirable.
