We offer an exciting range of new communications products and services backed by the same high quality and expertise you've come to rely on.Our Richardson Texas facility is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer II to work with the Transportable Satellite Antenna Control team. The desired candidate shall have a BS/MSEE with minimum 2 to 4 years experience. This position presents opportunities across a broad base of engineering disciplines. GDSatcom-Richardson is a low volume engineering/production environment that will provide a range of challenges and opportunities to the right individual. The candidate will be responsible for engineering entire projects and/or major subsystems.In this position, the Electrical Engineer II will have responsibilities that include customer support, developing sales leads, creating cost and technical proposals (government and commercial), product marketing, and program management activities. Work includes new product design with an emphasis on board-level analog and digital circuits. Circuit design experience should include embedded microcontrollers and CPLD’s. Work may include travel (up to 6 weeks per year) to customer sites for product testing, integration, demonstrations, sales support, and troubleshooting. In this role, the Electrical Engineer II may provide technical supervision to lower level engineers and other technical personnel, and may be responsible for the administrative duties of a small work group, although the engineering work performed is more important than the supervision aspect.Applicant must show a proven track record of Schematic Capture and PWB concepts. Ideal candidate should have several previous design programs that have reached production. Previous work history should include new product design with an emphasis on board-level analog and digital circuits. Circuit design experience should include embedded microcontrollers and CPLD’s. The following experience is preferred but not required:• SATCOM systems knowledge including SATCOM parabolic antenna and feed theory• Familiar with satellite communications equipment, including modems, LNA’s, HPA’s, routers, switches, up converters, down converters, etc. You must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
