As a Vice President - Engineering for The Company, you will be an important member of the team that develops quality manufacturing systems; directs staff; achieves organization strategic objectives; maximizes production; maintains product quality; researches new and improved products, packages, and processes; protects assets; prepares budget and controls expenses; complies with legal requirements.
Qualifications
Manages complexity well. Coordinates information and activities among groups with differing agendas, across multi-functional areas. History of successfully accomplishing goals of grand scope.
Expert at combining extensive knowledge of the business to integrate and develop sound budgets.
Senior management experience. Skills include strategic planning, influencing others, and supporting organizational change.
Expertise in designing and constructing products according to requirements/specifications.
Influences product development by gathering and analyzing product, customer, and operational requirements.
Demonstrates experience with process reengineering techniques/tools such as process flowcharts, pareto diagrams, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control charts.
Thinks globally, takes a broad view of the business and its opportunities. Develops long-term strategies for growth.
Ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships. Successfully manages customer expectations.
Designs the organization for optimal customer service. Promotes excellence by providing superior service to each customer.
Superior engineering design skills.
Responsible for profit and loss responsibility for an organization. Forecasts and monitors budgets against financial goals.
Adeptly explains features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full product line. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the competitive market.
Develops best practices. Establishes standards, policies, and workflows.
Stays abreast of current trends and understands the external and internal factors that affect business.
Can lead and inspire technical employees to achieve outstanding results by capitalizing on their motivations and interests.
BS Mechanical Engineering, MS Engineering or MBA preferred
