This position is for the Engineer Chief supporting Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design technology and functional expertise. The position will report to the Electronic Hardware COE Director. Location of the position is flexible with any Honeywell Aerospace site as an option.

 

Key Activities: Ensure alignment of new product designs with core architectures and reference designs
Drive architectures of core programs to enable future reuse
Help design teams apply lessons learned and good design practices across all product areas
Provide technical expertise to ensure sound EMC design practices are applied on all designs
Support common EMC design technology and core technology road map definition
Participate in key Engineering design reviews


Performance Expectations: Participate in architecture definition for all electronic products. Guide team on following core platform(s) and/or designing new architectures and/or features for future reuse.
Participate in defining product roadmaps. Work with M&PM, Adv Tech and product teams to determine when/how to insert new technologies. Coordinate with other engineer community to ensure tools and infrastructure are developed to support technology insertions.
Review proposal input for all electronic products. Ensure product approach aligns with product roadmaps and core platform roadmaps. Sign off on all proposal inputs.
Participate in all defined design reviews for electronic products. Provide review of designs for quality and efficiency, alignment to core products/platforms and product line strategy. Provide input to support sharing of knowledge across product areas. Sign off on design reviews.
Provide key interface between engineering and pursuit/proposal teams to ensure adherence to core product strategy and design/architecture for reuse. Sign off on all IPDS phase 1, 2 and 3 checklists.


Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with advanced degree preferred.15 or more years experience with all facets of EMC and EMI design for Aerospace applications.Recognized internal expert in EMC design and related technology and CAD tools.Strong technical project leadership capabilities and experienceCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen due to program requirements
