EDA CAD Systems Manager (Mentor Graphics Expedition, Electrical, PCB, Library)

This is a permanent CAD Librarian position with an excellent mid-larger size manufacturer of some very interesting products. No layoffs ever. Great company and state of art facility, eqpt, and processes. Awesome benefits and some relocation help.

The ideal person is someone with 2-5 years experience to maintain mainly the electrical component library using primarily (Expedition) software.  Also work with Design Engineers on creation of symbols, footprints, part verification and creation, troubleshooting, and migrate parts to Expedition or other current versions of CAD software, help create library processes, 3D CAD and Simulation Models a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

Use electronic CAD tools to create component library for EDA tool suite

Maintain EDA libraries and add new components as needed

Maintain EDA software licensing and installations/upgrades

Use mechanical CAD to create 3-D models of components

Link EDA components to simulation models (SPICE, IBIS, thermal, S-parameter, etc.)

Link EDA component library to Oracle Parts database and Component Tracker system

Work with all design and manufacturing groups to validate EDA component library

Create/maintain documentation project for EDA libraries and EDA procedures

Maintain documentation for electronic components in component tracker database

Work with designers and the components group to create and maintain component attributes

Prefer a 2 year degree or diploma in Electronics with 2 years experience in PCB layout or formal training in PCB layout.

Prefer at least 4 years experience in electronic environment.

Knowledge in Electronic CAD software preferred.

Knowledge in Mechanical CAD software preferred.

Knowledge in high volume electronic assembly techniques preferred.
