SUMMARY : As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the primary focus is to provide overall leadership and management for the Quality organization, ensuring all deliverable products are produced in accordance with established Company and Customer requirements.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Develops and refines processes to continuously improve product quality and the cost effectiveness of the Quality System.

· Provides management visibility on the effectiveness of the quality system and facilitate corrective/improvement actions as required.

· Ensures organizational compliance with Federal Regulatory Requirements.

· Develops and implements the strategic and operating plans which support the company’s business and operational objectives.

· Plans, directs, and coordinates all Quality activities through subordinate Directors and Managers ensuring the division’s objectives for producing and shipping quality products.

· Monitors the Internal Audit Program and conducts audits to ensure the validity of existing quality policies and processes. Ensures organizational compliance with Federal Regulatory requirements. Responsible for coordination and closure of all outstanding issues resulting from aforementioned audits.

· Effectively plans for and utilizes Quality resources in all aspects of the Company’s product cycle from initial design through delivery.

· Continuously monitors all quality metrics to detect unfavorable variations that require immediate attention.

· Directs resources and priorities in support of the development and implementation of systems that provide quality verification of processes and products.

· Leads and manages implementation of the AS9100 Quality System.

· Directs and leads the relationship with the FAA (MIDO and FSDO offices).

· Ensures adequate training and education resources are available to develop required skills and enables career growth opportunities for personnel working in the Quality organization.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred.

· Minimum 12 years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing setting. Strongly prefer previous experience at an O.E.M. in the aerospace industry.

· Working knowledge of the FAA Regulatory Requirements for both Production Certificate and Repair Station environments.
