Based in McLean, Virginia, Alion has 3700 employee-owners at major offices, customer sites and laboratories worldwide.  Qualifications  10-15 years coordination and capture of long and short range tactical and strategic targets IAW business development plan and group pipeline for $35M+ operation. Establishment of BD budget, metrics, monitoring and reporting. Prepare and participate in milestone/business strategy reviews. Meet with potential buyers and teaming partners to establish working relationships and teaming agreements. Coordinate inter-company agreements related to bids. Demonstrated track record of cultivating and winning large contracts. Must be a self motivated multi-tasker and have excellent oral/written communication skills. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  Responsibilities  The candidate will be responsible for developing new business within the federal, state and local government communities. The candidate must become familiar with the marketing plan for the division and completely understand the existing capabilities within the division. Will work with current contacts, as well as partners to cultivate new business.
