Job summary
Estimate costs for new forging designs from customer blue prints and CAD models.
Update existing cost estimates.
Create and update Shop Process Order (route card) packages for flow down through shop.
Design Forging Dies using Forging Simulation Software
Summary of essential job functions
Create CAD Models to aid in forging design, estimating and Shop Process Order execution.
Estimate Requests for Quotations (RFQ’s) quickly and accurately.
Review and understand AMS, Customer, Military and ASTM specifications, Purchase Orders, Blue Prints and their hierarchy and apply to estimates and Purchase Orders.
Design Forging Dies.
Minimum requirements
B.S. in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Abilities required
Attention to detail.
Ability to work and communicate in a forging job shop environment.
Solidworks familiarity strongly desired and some CAD experience essential.
DEFORM or QForm familiarity strongly desired.
