Summary:
Applies theories and principles to both simple and complex work in research and development including the design, product characteristics and documentation necessary to produce the design in quantity. Uses tools to aid in the design and re-design of products. Works with Marketing to ensure the best possible commercialization of the product. Works with manufacturing to ensure smooth transition from prototype to pilot run.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Design and redesign in AutoCAD utilizing calculations, standards, and procedures provided.
· Generate associated bills of material and revise assembly and parts list drawings.
· Maintain company quality and ISO guidelines.
· Prepare project timeline estimates and product cost comparisons, select materials, commercial parts and technical data.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Structural) or equivalent international degrees.
· Minimum 1 year of design experience using AutoCAD
· Advanced Modeling and Surfacing a plus.
· Effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external customers.
· Self starter with good decision making skills.
· Background in Petroleum transfer, pumps, fabrication package or compression is a plus.
