Defense Contract and Operations Business Administrator
We are seeking a Defense Contract and Operations Business Administrator to perform program control, contract administration and group financial administration functions for the Santa Barbara Group (SBG), which manages five operation/office locations. Position directly supports the SBG General Manager (GM) of private company that works in support of US Government contracts.
Group Financial Administration duties: update and maintain the SBG labor/overhead budget system, assist the GM in preparing biannual sales projection forecasts, reconcile contract funds backlog, track CFY sales, sales-in-process and forecasted sales.
Program Control duties: assist program managers in financial/cost tracking and forecasting of job spend plans (Labor, Travel/ODC), prepare monthly task financial reports as deliverables, and maintain the travel database.
Contract Administration duties: maintain SBG contract files (electronic/paper and backup documentation), subcontract management, ensure CDRL and deliverable requirements are met, initiate PoP extensions and reapportionments, research and resolve invoicing issues, verify employee mappings, and complete contract close out requirements (spend-out, CDRL compliance, transmittal letters).
Applicants must have five years of administrative experience in business administration and be able to pass a government background investigation and obtain a National Security clearance. Possession of an in-scope Secret government clearance is preferred. Successful candidate must be fully proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to multi-task and support Contracts Manager, Operation Managers and Task Leaders.
