Database Administrator

Position Description: Candidate will primarily be responsible for development and implementation of relational databases using SQL Server.  Responsibilities include documenting business processes, designing database structures, and administering database servers.  Extensive knowledge of the database engine, analysis services, integration services, and reporting services is a must.  Additional responsibilities may include supporting the rapid design, development, test, and documentation of server side applications as well as web-based user interfaces for a variety of tasks and reports. Technical writing and communication skills required. Must be comfortable interfacing with customers. Must be able to work independently, as well as participate in group projects. Position requires an exceptionally high degree of problem solving skills.

 

Basic Qualifications: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems required. Candidate must be able to demonstrate skills and experience using SQL Server.

 

Other Qualifications: 3+ years developing and administering databases. Programming skills are a plus.

 

Security Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Current security clearance preferred.
