Data Fusion Engineer Description:Job Description - Data Fusion Engineer to design and implement algorithms for data mining and fusion to support counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) programs in the Homeland Protection Business Area. Duties - Data Fusion Engineer to develop and implement algorithms for the fusion of data from disparate sources that enables automatic recognition of both known threatening patterns and unknown data anomalies. Data Fusion Engineer to design decision support systems that are capable of quickly assimilating large amounts of data that indicate trends, anomalies, and warnings of potential threatening situations. Data Fusion Engineer to support Program and Project Managers by interfacing with sponsors, developing white papers and proposals, and managing resources.Qualifications:Required - PhD in Math, Computer Science, or related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in implementing analytical solutions for detection, classification, or decision making for DOD sponsored projects. Must be able to work with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers to rapidly develop and implement prototype solutions. Demonstrated proficiency in Satellite Tool Kit (STK) and QT-Viewer. Strong interpersonal skills a must. Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
