Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Director, Procurement is responsible for driving the performance and execution of sourcing activities for the global Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) division. A hands-on, tactical role, this individual will be responsible for working closely with field-based sourcing professionals to drive projects and initiatives to deliver total cost savings and operational performance improvements to the business unit. The position will be located in Harrisburg, PA but will involve frequent travel to AD&M locations. While establishing an ongoing sourcing strategy is a critical aspect of the role, the primary and initial emphasis will be heavily weighted towards the tactical. Key Responsibilities • Introducing and driving projects to reduce costs and improve supplier reliability and quality. • Implementing measurements to emphasize execution of initiatives. • Ensure supply base strategies are developed and driven through the organization to support new product design and introduction. • Evaluation of procurement organization with an emphasis on building the organization's capabilities. • Develop supplier base at point of manufacture with particular emphasis on lower cost country (LCC) supplier development.
