DEGREED ENGINEERS (MULTIPLE DISCIPLINES) - LAS VEGAS (PER DIEM)
We are looking for qualified candidates to submit on multiple DOE positions in Las Vegas. Positions run from 6 mos. to one year. If interested, please e-mail your resume in Word format to smaxwell@frankiefriend.com along with your hourly rate and availability.
Nuclear Analyst – (6 mos.) BS or MS in Nuc. Eng. Exp. to include DOE and/or NRC, with 7+ yrs in practical applications of shielding and/or source term codes including MCNP and/or SCALE. Prefer recent exp. in nuclear analysis for spent fuel storage or transportation systems, or radwaste mgmt. or disposal systems.
Sr. Structural Eng. – (1 yr) BS Civil Eng. + 25 years in structural design. MUST be a registered P.E. with extensive exp. in the structural analysis & design of heavy industrial bldgs. using structural steel & reinforced concrete. Exp. to include Frameworks & SAP2000 with extensive knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC codes and standards as well as familiarity with DOE-STD-1020.
Radiological Eng.- (6 mos.) BS in Health Physics or Nuc. Eng. 13+ yrs relevant experience in radiological engineering preferably NRC operating environment. Certified Health Physicist preferred. Recent relevant exp. in performing ALARA evaluations.
Sr. HVAC Eng. – (6 mos.) BS Mech. Eng. with 9+ years recent industrial HVAC design engineering exp., including system sizing, equip. selection and preparation of technical documents. Prefer exp. in nuclear HVAC systems at nuclear power facilities or nuclear waste handling facilitieis. Familiarity with HVAC software such as CONTAM, Elite, Trace 700 & HDPSYCHART.
FEA Stress Analyst – (10 mos). BS Mech. Eng. or Engineering Mechanics. Training should include FEA as applied to metal components. Exp. with ANSYS and LS-DYNA or ABAQUS for the evaluation of static & dynamic structural response of components. Exp. with Pro-E and knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. Addt’l. exp. in heat transfer & CFD (ANSYS for radiative/conductive heat transfer & FLUENT for CFD).
Fire Protection Specialist – (6-9 mos) BS Mech. Eng. with 13+ yrs. in fire protection design exp. in industrial/nuclear facilities, including fire suppression, fire detection/alarm & hazard analyses. Exp. in nuclear facilities preferred. Fully conversant with fire protection related codes, stds. and NRC regs. Professional registration as a fire protection eng. is desirable.
