DescriptionKorry Electronics, a subsidiary of Esterline, is the internationally recognized leader in the design and manufacture of electro-optical display products, subsystems and discrete components for the aerospace and defense industries. We currently have an opening for a Contracts Administrator.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for negotiation and management of large, complex contracts and changes. Participates in proposal preparation; has responsibility for negotiating price, delivery, technical baseline, and terms and conditions; performs contract review and acceptance; administers and monitors contract performance; assists Program Manager in solving related problems such as questions regarding risk, profit, special contractual provisions. Will train and give work direction to Contract Administrators. This is a senior, non-management position and requires the exercise of independent judgment within defined procedures and management direction. Responsibilities include: Generate new ideas, procedures and processes that will have a positive effect on customer satisfaction Identify gap between Korry processes/requirements and customer needs Monitor external business conditions and be aware of events in the industry Develop key customer contacts and act as an effective advocate for Korry and the customer Manage scope of the work and schedule to ensure customer satisfaction Position terms negotiations to be viewed as contribution to mitigate risk and increase profit for Korry Ensure contract compliance throughout the company Prepare contractual correspondence and documentation from pre-award through closure Effectively manage change control and issue resolution Lean Responsibilities: Administer contract with best practices to eliminate non-value added/non-essential activities Establish work standards for contract administration Meet goals/metrics for contract administration Cross-trained in all functions of the organization Involved in continuous improvements Implement improvement ideas Use Value Stream Mapping and Lean tool REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Business Administration or related field of study Experience at leading the negotiation, award and management of large, complex contracts, programs, and/or customer account management Some familiarity with U.S. Export Laws (ITAR/EAR) Aviation Industry work experience Must be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrentlyPREFER:Masters Degree in Business Administration and/or relevant advanced professional certification and: Skilled at implementing lean principles in the office environment Prior experience with submitting Export Licenses under U.S. Export regulations Working knowledge of U.S. Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) Experience with the contract management of avionics related systems and components PEOPLE make it happen at Korry.
