Chenega Technology Services CorporationJob Description Company Job Title: Configuration Management Analyst Chenega Job Title: Analyst III, Configuration Mgmt Location: Lorton, VA Reports To: Senior Engineer Manager FLSA Status: Full-Time/Exempt SummaryConfiguration Analyst will plan, coordinate and oversee configuration management (CM) activities to ensure configuration identification, control and management of artifacts per program requirements and guidelines. Responsible for planning configuration management activities for various projects as well as providing support to engineering development and deployment support environments. Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product configuration items. Tracks implementation of approved changes. Ensures updates for configuration items are properly documented and catalogued. Requires strong configuration management skills to provide guidance and vision. Champions the cause of CM and is results driven. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position• Review released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.• Lead configuration management and data management activities.• Develop plans; manage processes and brief status to management and customer personnel.• Define policies, procedures and approvals for requirements management, change management, release management, data management, document control and technical library.• Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product configuration items.• Define and set up all lifecycle Change Management processes and procedures.• Perform configuration reviews, audits and configuration status accounting.• Participate on Change Control Board for review, approval, scheduling and execution of equipment or process releases.• Support CBP NII Configuration Control Board.• Track implementation of approved changes.• Other duties may be assigned.SupervisionNoneMinimum QualificationsCandidate must have a strong understanding of configuration management disciplines, document control and be able to make recommendations and suggest alternatives for improving processes across the organization. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering or related Engineering discipline.• 4-7 years of experience with configuration management or configuration change control• Familiar with configuration management standard concepts, practices, and procedures• Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging dynamic business environment• Excellent writing, presentation and verbal skills.
