Configuration Management AnalystSimi Valley, CAJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Primary responsibility is to provide configuration management/document control analysis to support the manufacturing of small-scale unmanned aircraft.• Review all drawings submitted for release or change to ensure completeness and compliance to company specific guidelines and industry best practices.• React to periodic audits on the conformance to CM practices for all Configuration Items, document findings and develop and deploy necessary corrective actions.• Ensure compliance to the ECO, MCO, Deviation and Stop Order processes in an electronic environment.• Manage and maintain workload to company requirements and deadlines.• The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance and development of CM policy and procedures to ensure that all projects maintain the integrity of complex software, hardware and documentation throughout the project life-cycle.• The successful candidate will proactively address configuration management related issues and concerns across the program.• The successful candidate will be able to maintain version control over multiple baselines being worked and/or fielded simultaneously. • Will be responsible for ensuring that existing Change Management and Change Control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life cycle.• The successful candidate will perform to established metrics to ensure ISO, CMMI and contract compliance.• Work closely with engineers and managers across varied disciplines.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:• High School Diploma required, some advanced education desirable.• Document Control or Configuration Management experience is required.• Exposure to military projects is required.• Strong analytical skills, project management and process management skills.• Excellent communication skills including effective oral, written, and presentation.• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.• Document imaging experience is a plus.• Requires proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.• Familiarity with electromechanical manufacturing is desired. • Knowledge of computerized MRP/ERP systems is required.• An understanding of purchasing, planning, manufacturing and R&D is required.• Agile PLM experience is desired.• PDM Works experience is desired.• CMMI experience is desired.• A complete understanding of configuration management is required.• Must be able to work in a small, fast-paced, flexible manufacturing environment as product is being developed.• Take responsibility for all aspects of configuration management/document control.• Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.• The ability to research, interpret and implement national and military standards governing our business.• A working knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14.5M is desired.• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in ambiguous situations where only limited standardization and structure exist.This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
