Computer Systems Specialist for DoD Government Contractor

About the Opportunity -- Computer Systems Specialist, part-time

Research Analysis and Maintenance, Inc. (RAM) is in need of a Computer Systems Specialist to support the Kentucky National Guard. The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy as you work side-by-side with people you can trust and respect. This position is part-time.

Responsibilities and Challenges

 

· Monitor the network for viability and efficiency 24X7.

·  Monitor and maintain the network security posture and report via the chain of command suspicious or malicious activity.

·  Assist the DCSIM Security Administrator with acknowledging and tracking compliance with all DoD IAVA alerts.

·  Scan and check all network devices across the entire network (routers, workstations, servers, printers, phone switches etc.) for all security patches and fixes on a schedule that will check all boxes regularly.

·  Assist the DCSIM Security Administrator.

· Update and maintain all DoD required network accreditation documentation and implement all requirements. 

· Assist with required Information Assurance training.

· Assist in fielding calls relating to anti-virus protection, required security patches, visibility of systems on the network, ensuring systems are properly

 

Education:

Graduate of accredited technical trade, professional, or technical training institution or possess a diploma from a program in computer science, IT or related curriculum.

 

Experience:

Five years experience in: supervision of network installation technicians, analysis, design, and installation of LAN/WAN or analysis and installation of communication systems.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD-issued Security Clearance. This entails U.S. citizenship. Non-U.S. citizens cannot be considered
