Cognitive Engineering Researcher Description:Perform applied research in cognitive engineering as a member of an interdisciplinary team with an emphasis on visualization of complex data, human-automation teaming, assessment of cognitive and affective state, and human cognitive model. Work as part of a research team, conducting research on human attention, memory, information processing, decision-making, and team interaction. Support the identification, pursuit, and capture of both internal and external funded tasking. Work with military and civilian domain experts to transition research products into application. Present research and development results in peer-reviewed publications and conferences.Qualifications:Required:Ph.D. in cognitive science, psychology, computer science, or industrial engineering. 0-5 years experience in an applied research environment. Demonstrated capability for independent research. Good interpersonal skills and record of high-quality publications.Desired:Specific experience in computational modeling of human cognition, and/or research on human teaming.
