Chief Systems Engineer- Aerospace

CEi seeks a Chief Systems Engineer for our Roseville, CA office.  Candidate will be responsible for leading complex, multi-system Engineering project teams.  Looking for highly motivated individual who can think “outside the box”.  Key Responsibilities:· Manages the System Engineering team’s effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task.· Plans projects and executes to the plan with attention to detail.· Understands customer requirements and prepares requirements documents.· Reports progress in meeting customer requirements.· Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (ie. drawings, specifications, parts lists, interface control documents, test procedures, etc).· Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.· Ensures customer satisfaction in relation to projects.· Supports system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.· Supports flight testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.· Prepares test plans and reports· Acts as Test Director when necessary· Mentors Level I-IV System Engineers.· Supports business development efforts both in preparation of quotes and proposals as well as sales efforts.· Follows safety precautions.· Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.· Complies with QMS procedures Typical Qualifications:· Requires BS degree in a related technical field (Engineering or equivalent).· 10+ years aerospace engineering experience, including multiple disciplines· Experience with leading complex, multi-system project teams· Experience planning projects and executing to the plan with attention to detail· Highly motivated individual with the ability to think creatively and outside the box· Demonstrated passion for customer satisfaction· Demonstrated strong communication skills.· Ability to travel as necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.  RELOCATION IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION Closing StatementCEi offers a competitive compensation package that is commensurate with the candidate's education and experience.  Our benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, casual dress, and a 401(k) plan with company matching funds.  We respect, value and welcome diversity in our workforce.  We strive to maintain a safe and drug-free workplace.  Accordingly, CEi conditions all offers of employment on satisfactory completion of a drug screen and background check.Equal Employment / Affirmative Action Employer / Drug Free Work Place   Company: Composite Engineering, Inc.
