Certified Project Manager
Highly successful aerospace engineering and manufacturing firm seeks a certified project manager for its Seattlle office.
Skills requiredSuccessful candidates must possess a valid certification in project managerment and have extensive experience working with engineering disciplines. Bachelor's degree in engineering discipleine desired but not required. Excellent written and verbal skills required. Excellent data collection and documentation skils
Job duties:Create and file records through a contract review with all customers. This written documentation should include such things as buy-off requirements, FOB point, specifications that apply to the project, payment terms, payment timing, timing agreements, content agreements, etc. This document is an agreement between the customer and company as to the proper interpretation of the PO. Define content of a project and document it. This content should be what was agreed upon during the Contract Review. The documentation is typically summarized on a sheet index for an entire project. This sheet index must include any controls drawing sets as well as any mechanical design drawing sets. Create, maintain and update the budget for all projects. The budget must be updated at least weekly and potential issues communicated to the management team. Create, maintain the project timeline. All timelines should have major milestones and include installation timing. Design timing is to be broken down by sheet release dates, if applicable. Create, maintain and update a thorough and effective Open Issues document. (A thorough and effectove open issues document is one that people read and get useful information from for the purpose of successfully completing their job). Creat and installation SOW and work with the operaitons team to create the proper strategy that is needed to execute the SOW. This includes things such as schedules, manpower allocation, exit strategy, buy-offs, sign offs, etc. Conduct all project launch meetings with company personnell. This launch us used to define the entirety of the project to the rest of the team. THis is considered the hand-off. Manage all out of scope work requests and negotiate with the cusotmer cost and timing impacts. If awarded, create the budget, amend the timeline, complete a contract review to detemine buy-offs and best way to integrate the changes, and line-up change to rest of the management team. THis requires input and involvement from all other disciplines. Create and maintain a job file/binder/folder in a standard format as an evidence book for a project. Create and file all -buy-off dcuments and certificates, including warranty. Conduct close out meetings and document "Lessons Learned". Create and follow-up on customer invoices. Act as the "Voice of the Customer" at company and represent the companies intersts and concerns at the customer's facility.
