Instructors: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.• Teach course material• Prepare instructional program in accordance with training or other course requirements• Assembling materials to be presented• Instructs students in the theoretical and practical aspects covering the subjects being taught. • Use teaching methods such as individual coaching, group discussions, lectures, demonstrations, seminars, and workshops. • Selects or develops teaching aids such as wall charts, prepared notes, tape recordings, radio, television, films, film strips, and training handbooks. • Supervises practical work carried out by students, and assists them at points of difficulty. • Measure student’s performance to gauge their learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of instruction. • Assist the FAA in the evaluation and documentation of the performance of certified professional controller (CPC), CPCs in training, and developmentally on simulation scenarios.Supervision: NoneMinimum Qualifications• Instructor I must have a minimum of three (3) years CPC experience in Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). • Regardless of labor category, all personnel employed in support of this contract must be familiar with the operation of personal computers, standard operating systems equivalent to that used by the FAA, and with standard application software equivalent to that utilized in their proposed positions.Education and/or Experience • A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience is required. • Operational experience with Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulators including scenario design and remote pilot operations for one or more of the following systems is a plus: DYSIM, ERTSS, ETG, ATCoach, TSS.• Curriculum design and development experience is desired.• Able to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure the training delivered at the local level is responsive to local needs, is comprehensive and of consistent high quality Clearance, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • En Route: Classroom, Stage II• Instructor I trainees must complete FAA Facility Instructor Training (Course 10501) as quota becomes available; if an individual has previously completed the course this requirement may be waived.
