REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

MillenWorks is actively seeking a bright and energetic individual with a minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience FOR A CONTRACT POSITION (duration to be determined - but estimate is 1 year).

· We require a machinist with excellent knowledge of manual mills and lathes (must have both).

· The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks.

· Must be able to read engineering blueprints.

· Prototyping machine shop experience using CNC machines and manual turning centers, 2 to 4 axis Haas mills and lathes and Okuma lathes.

· Efficiently operate machinery and uses precision instruments to manufacture, assemble, and repair equipment/tooling.

· Responsible for the accurate machining of engineering prototype
equipment and tools for R&D.

· Setup, programming and running machine desired.

· Must have minimum AA or diploma from accredited technical school

· Experience in prototype machining in designing and building fixtures.

· Familiarity with Mastercam and Solidworks is desired but not a requirement

· Effective communication & team building skills necessary.

· Interest in working on fast-paced, medium-risk projects. 

· Experience in R&D or prototyping environment is a must

· Ideal applicant has experience with a wide range of technologies and projects, and has previous work experience at both small and medium/large companies.

· Previous automotive, Department of Defense industry experience is highly desirable.

· A positive attitude, excellent communication and writing skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required.

COMPENSATION

Salary is negotiable based on experience. For permanent full-time employees, MillenWorks offers medical, dental, and vision insurance.  We also offer Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and childcare, Life insurance, Long-term disability and participation in 401K.  MillenWorks has a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
