CHEMICAL LABORATORY SUPERVISOR
Southwest United Industries, Inc., a leader in aerospace plating and anodizing, is searching for a Chemical Laboratory Supervisor. This position has 3 key objectives. The first objective is responsibility for supervising and organizing the work duties and personnel within the department. The second objective includes assisting the chemist with chemical operations including sampling, analysis, chemical additions, tank purifications, filter changes, recordkeeping, maintaining analytical procedures, maintaining inventories, investigation of process failures, R&D, communication with vendors and hazardous materials storage and disposal. The final objective of this position is to ensure compliance with the company's Environmental & Safety Compliance Plan involving employee training, recordkeeping, reporting, regulatory audits, acting as the site emergency coordinator and conducting frequent plant compliance assessments.
Successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial laboratory setting. Experience in metal finishing is a plus. We offer group health, life, dental and matching 401k. FAA Drug and Alcohol testing required. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
