Our Chemical Demilitarization Plant Operations (CDPO) specializes in providing support to government organizations engaged in chemical defense, chemical demilitarization, and treaty compliance services. CDPO is seeking a for our Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (TOCDF) activity in Stockton, UT for full-time work. Both shift work and overtime requirements are anticipated. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. The selected candidate will work in a restricted area within the Tooele Operations (TOCDF) in Stockton, UT. Position Responsibilities SUMMARY: The CAMDS/DCD (CD) Analytical Manager has primary responsibility for ensuring that all analytical needs of work pertaining to the closure of CAMDS and destruction of agent and waste associated with CAMDS and the DCD depot are met. This manager reports directly to the CAMDS/DCD Secondary Waste and Closure Manager, but is expected to have significant interaction with the TOCDF Operations Manager. All members of the CAMDS Analytical Group report to the CD Analytical Manager. Required Qualifications A Bachelors' degree in chemistry or closely related technical degree with three (3) years experience as a Chemist, or any equivalent combination of experience and education is required. At least three (3) years experience in operating an analytical chemistry laboratory is required, including two (2) or more years of laboratory supervisory experience. At least one (1) year of experience with gas chromatographs, liquid chromatographs, SGE backflush systems, mass spectrometry systems, wet chemistry, and DAAMS tube analyses is desired. Chemical agent/toxic materials experience desired. At least three (3) years of experience with laboratory data acquisition, processing, reporting, and recording software is desired. Experience with Agilent ChemStation and Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Access, and Excel) is highly desirable. Plus: 1) Must be a U.S. citizen. 2) Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC). 3) Hired for the duration of the contract. Contingent upon meeting expected performance standards. 4) This position involves work near or with toxic and hazardous materials. 5) Must achieve certification in required subject areas. 6) Drug-free workplace; urine testing for drugs is mandatory. 7) Periodic blood tests for cholinesterase levels are required. 8) Work with toxic chemicals; expected to wear protective clothing/mask. 9) Must be clean shaven; must wear seat belts when driving or riding in vehicles on post. 10) Willingness to work overtime. 11) Understanding that failure to obtain or maintain certification or favorable results from the NAC will subject you to review for an open position and depending on your performance and skills; or immediate leave without pay or termination. 12) Must be able to acknowledge and respond to Emergency lights and sirens and be capable of wearing a protective mask. 13) Attend approximately 4-8 weeks training at the US Army training facility in Maryland, and successfully pass the training agenda.
