Business & Planning AnalystDescription: Are you an entry level Planning Analyst seeking a new and exciting opportunity? Do you have Information Technology experience? If so, this may be the position for you!We are seeking a person that collects, compiles and documents source data in support of analysis of financial and/or resource forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs). Maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines and assists with preparing variance analyses. Performs recurring tasks such as establishing charge line information, preparation and/or supporting various work authorizations and work package development/maintenance. Reconciles data discrepancies and corrects errors in cost charging for narrow segment of statement of work. Runs routine weekly/monthly reports. Gathers and tracks operating group or division metrics related to tools, processes and training. Records problems/issues identified by tool and process users and tracks resolution. Updates process and tool documentation as directed. Job responsibilities will include: Retrieve, process and validate data. Generate complex MSAccess queries to reconcile and validate data. Take calls from users and research/resolve data/ application issues. Understand and update user manuals and process system flowcharts. Candidate will test software applications to identify both syntax and logic errors. Train users on software applications. Attend meetings to assist in gathering requirements for new process improvements. Capability to develop, modify and debug MSAccess/SQL applications is a plus. Capability to comprehend existing processes and brainstorm process improvements is a plus Volt offers its employees a competitive salary and enhanced benefits.Requirements: Limited use and application of basic job principles, theories, and concepts. Receives detailed instructions for specific assignments. Impact: Contributes to the completion of task-related activities. Errors typically do not have a major effect on the organization. Liaison: Interacts primarily with immediate supervisor and other personnel within the group. Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and up to 2 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
