If so, Sensis is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our Defense and Security Systems (D&SS) group. Position Responsibilities:- Provide leadership for the identification, capture planning and capture execution of programs/contracts to support current and long term revenue plans. Provide organizational leadership and take appropriate action to win competitive pursuits. This includes the development of capture strategies and plans, ensuring customer satisfaction and oversight of winning proposal activities. - Develop and maintain excellent relations with customers. Ensure continuing customer relations and an effective flow of information to deliver business objectives. Work in collaboration with internal organizations to guide the activities of agents/consultants/others representing D&SS.- Provide strategic direction for the research and development activities of our product groups. Recommend areas for new technology development that will permit the capture of new markets and products. Maintain an acute awareness and knowledge of market trends, customer requirements and their strategic direction to position D&SS for new business opportunities.- Provide direction for business development processes, procedures and metrics. Evaluate current processes, procedures and metrics and lead team in development of process improvements.- Provide coaching and mentoring to realize the full potential of the Business Development talent/team. - Develop and manage relevant budgets, Bid and Proposal resources and support the development of the Strategic Plan. Requirements:- The candidate will possess a BSEE, technical training or equivalent, MBA preferred, with a proven record of competitive new business and strategic accomplishments in the military market place with an emphasis on RF Technologies.- Five to ten years of related Business Development leadership experience and working knowledge of DOD procurement processes. Relevant RF or EW experience and an understanding of complex systems/surveillance related products, technologies and competitors, a plus- Must possess outstanding leadership, communication, strategic planning, Voice of the Customer and relationship management skills.- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.- Must have demonstrated experience and accomplished track record in the development and execution of strategic planning and orders forecasting, competitive win rate, talent development, capture plans, and executive interface/relationship management with senior customer personnel and corporate leadership.- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret level clearanceTravel Requirements: 50%+ travel, mostly DomesticThis position is located in Syracuse, NYAs a condition of employment, candidates may be required to participate in a background investigation and/or successfully demonstrate eligibility to receive applicable Government security clearance(s).Sensis provides an excellent working environment offering advancement and professional growth opportunities, competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.
