Our client is seeking the following for a permanent full-time position in Florida.
JOB DESCRIPTION;
Serves as the technical and administrative point of contact for the fleet, all elements of the Avionics Engineering Competency, other U.S. government agencies/services, contractors, and foreign governments for in-service technical and engineering issues pertaining to CV-22 avionics and EW systems at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Supported EW systems include: engine nacelle is an IR suppressor system, multi-mode radar for high speed low altitude Terrain Following/Terrain Avoidance flying, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible systems, radar warning receiver (RWR), suite of Integrated Radio Frequency Countermeasures (ALQ-211 SIRFC) for radar warning, the AN/AAR-47 system which provides passive electro-optical detection and reaction to/warning of incoming missiles, the AN/AVR-2A Laser Detection System passively detects, identifies, and provides warning of laser threats by comparison of received information with internal threat files, the Countermeasures Dispensing System (CDS) set provides chaff, decoy, and/or flare countermeasures for cued threats from the MWS/RWR and manual crew-initiated dispense programs, and Suite of Integrated Radio Frequency Countermeasures (ALQ-211 SIRFC) for radar warning, RF jamming, electronic warfare management, and increased situational awareness.
Provides aircraft avionics engineering services in support of rework, repair, inspection, test and modification of all USAF CV-22 Aircraft at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Investigates and resolves complex technical problems concerning the rework, repair, inspection, test of avionics discrepancies/malfunctions and unprecedented service difficulties. Reviews fleet requests for investigations. May respond to DON-wide requests for engineering expertise. Evaluates factors involved and performs investigations. Assist the Naval Aviation Safety Center in the conduct of accident investigations that most often involve loss of life. Assembles correlates, develops, and issues engineering specifications concerning novel and unusual problems in the processing, rework, or repair of avionics systems.
Provides technical decisions, engineering advice, and information to the Naval Air Systems team. Also provides such communications to the controlling aircraft custodian and to all levels of fleet activities. Coordinates issues with the V-22 Air Vehicle System Engineer at the V-22 FST located on MCAS Cherry Point. Provides technical decisions and engineering dispositions. Frequently, the engineering dispositions are beyond established procedures/specifications and require unique approaches.
Develops engineering designs which can serve as prototypes for DON-wide implementation. Reviews and evaluates contactor proposals for improved designs and redesigns. Implements design changes in prototype installations. Investigates and analyzes avionics malfunctions and discrepancies and resolves the identified problems. Effects the incorporation for design modifications into the avionics systems in order to resolve or reduce safety hazards, and to enhance performance, reliability, or maintainability.
Represents ISSC Cherry Point, the U.S. Navy and/or the USAF as a senor avionics engineer and the site engineer permanently on station at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Serves as focal point and V-22 FST representative at meetings and conferences, and performs engineering cognizant functions relevant to design, operation, maintenance, or safety issues pertaining to CV-22 aircraft.
Reports on progress of assigned aircraft and other technical assignments to V-22 FST Leaders and local activity management. Prepares technical reports regarding completed technical project work, presenting results, conclusions, and recommendations. Delivers briefings or this information to affected management and technical production personnel. Participates in preparing and delivering the technical presentation for the project sponsors.
Performs additional duties as assigned by Government task leaders.

BS in Electrical Engineering (REQUIRED)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS;
Candidates will be required to TDY in Cherry Point, NC at beginning of the contract then transition to Hurlbert Field.
