Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT)

DUTIES:  An Aerospace company is currently seeking motivated Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) to support its Landing Gear Assembly Department.  Selected applicants will inspect, repair and test landing gear and/or components.  Applicants will perform maintenance of aircraft components in accordance with company policies and rules as defined by given specifications and FAA regulations.  Will work from complex and detailed assembly blueprints, technical drawings, and overhaul manuals. Will functionally test all assemblies to ensure workability of completed items.  As an AMT you will initiate, fill out, record or complete as required all evaluation forms, work orders, maintenance releases and any other pertinent reports and forms needed for the production and operation of the job.  Will assist other personnel and execute any other general duties that may arise from daily operations and production.  Overtime may be required per business needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  The ideal applicant must possess a minimum of four (4) years experience in bench overhaul of aircraft components.  Must be able to read blueprints, overhauls manuals, and illustrated parts books; Must have own hand tools.  Qualified applicant must have good verbal and written communication skills; must read, write, and speak English at a 12th grade level.  Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.  A & P Certification preferred.
