Automation and Control Systems Specialist

We work in the following areas: Applied technology Communications systems integration Information collection, management, security, processing and control Missile defense Nuclear, biological and chemical defense Space and intelligence systems Telecommunications If you are looking for a challenging career where you can put your talents to work finding innovative solutions to complex problems, then you have found the right company! - Identify, evaluate, and implement methods of small-unit (platoon and squad) unmanned system combat systems and support equipment automated inventory management. Evaluate and critique inventory management processes and conduct operations analysis for small units.- Consult and assist in the application of Passive, Active, Semi-Passive, and battery-assisted radio frequency identification (RFID) tagging technology to control inventory and conduct condition monitoring and combat readiness monitoring of Naval combat systems.- Identify, evaluate, and implement methods of remote condition monitoring, combat readiness assessment, and automated pre-launch/pre-mission checkout of Naval combat systems.- Critique and/or design, and coordinate the manufacturing and installation of robotic technology to assist in automating launch and pre-launch positioning of Naval combat systems. Conduct or manage modeling and simulation of such systems.- Design and implement automation of reliability, availability, and maintainability data monitoring, downloading and reporting. REQUIRED SKILLS- Background in RFID and/or control systems, automation, robotics, software engineering, operations analysis, and applied control/automation systems technology.- Strong analytical and writing skills (proposal/white paper writing ability required)- Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering and 5-8 years experienceDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE- Strong written English communications skills- Ability to conduct project financial, technical, and schedule management- Solid background in advanced applications of RFID and control technologies- Military background in high-tech applications of unmanned systems and management of unmanned systems and support equipment assets- Automation and robotics expertise- Modeling and simulation- Navy MCM backgroundSuccessful candidates will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
