This position, based in the Falls Church, VA area, will conduct comprehensive testing of both GOTS and COTS applications in an N-Tier system-of-systems environment that includes core applications, web services, BI and database applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in supporting and leading junior software testers in all aspects of testing throughout the software life cycle to verify and validate all relevant software products perform in accordance with requirements, design, and implementation documents. Candidate will conduct and lead technical interchanges with software developers, vendors, program managers, and Government representatives.QualificationsPosition will support a large IT development and integration team to sustain and modernize an Automated Information System with a Windows XP/2003 architecture utilizing GOTS/COTS based hardware and software. Primary OS and SW applications include: MS Exchange 2003, SQL Server 2003, MS Visual Studio .NET, Oracle 9i/10g, and Cognos. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must and proficiency with MS Office required. Desired Experience:- Established experience using automated testing tools (i.e., Mercury, HP Quality Center), working knowledge of software development process, and ability to develop detailed test and evaluation master plans with limited direction are highly desirable.- ASTQB/ISTQB CTAL-TM or ASTQB/ISTQB CTFL certification. - 7 years progressive IT experience associated with the defined technical skill sets.- 3 years of enterprise-level testing (white box, black box, N-Tier) experience must have occurred within the last 5 years.- U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information up to the Secret level.
