Airline Operations Manager
Position Description
POSITION: Airline Operations Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Aircraft Operations
LOCATION: Itasca, IL
SALARY RANGE:
Summary:
The Airline Operations Manager is the main contact with the Airline who oversees the installation, test and turn up of Aircell equipment. His/Her technical expertise will foster a successful relationship between the customer and Aircell.
Key Responsibilities:Provide technical guidance for aircraft installation, modification and inspection programs;Interface with project managers, airline personnel, installation vendors, engineers and company management to ensure all issues are addressed;Coordinate and manage bids and installation vendor agreements to include, definition and coordination of deliverables and schedules;Oversee the installation and support of the Aircell ABS system;Maintain air safety by interpreting and adhering to regulations and manuals, such as, FAA, ATA, parts, technical orders, etc.;Inspect vendor work and manage job quality and safety standards;Analyze performance and reliability data concerning installation of the ABS system;Develop additions and changes to programs based on in-service experience and findings;Scheduling resources to meet all contract delivery dates;Communicate with Airline Solutions, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain as required to support the installation process;Coordinate with other managers to perform installation and modifications to aircraft systems.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Engineering or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred;
· A&P certification required;
· 8+ years of diversified maintenance experience in the commercial aircraft industry with the ability to work with and understand maintenance manuals, maintenance programs, reliability programs, and government regulations;
· 3+ years management experience;
· Working knowledge of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations;
· Demonstrated ability to manage other personnel including setting goals and objectives;
· Experience servicing aircraft avionics and instrumentation to the component level preferred.
· Will be required to travel in support of airline assigned as needed.
