Airline Ground Service Representative

Ground Service Representatives are responsible for supervising and mathematically preplanning the loading and unloading of cargo, baggage and passengers on all North American Airlines aircraft. They are required to support aircraft extensively to all areas of the world as well as our main base at New York-JFK, ensuring safety and security for all North American Airlines flights as well as upholding our high company standards. Understanding of aircraft loading and of weight & balance, plus 1-2 years of airline ramp experience and aircraft loading experience required.

Job Requirements:
• Must have understanding of aircraft loading and of weight & balance.
• Must have 1-2 years airline ramp & aircraft loading experience.
• Must have valid US passport and valid driver's license.
• Must live in greater metro New York area.
• Must be extremely flexible and available when requested.
• Must be able to travel and remain with aircraft worldwide
  for extended periods of time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises aircraft loading and off loading.

• Ensures cargo and passengers are loaded according to Load Instruction Plan.

• Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspection of aircraft cabin and surroundings,

  ensuring cabin is cleaned and prepped for departure, and serviced upon arrival.

• Reviews cargo manifest.

• Transports crew to and from aircraft.

• Supervises vendors to ensure quality assurance.

• Performs loadmaster aircrew functions.

• Computes weight and balance.
