APL Technical Lead for MDA Combined Test Force Support Project Description:Description:Serve as the technical lead for a JHU/APL project providing support to MDA/DTC, the Combined Test Force (CTF). Lead technical efforts as required across CTF Planning, Operations and Analysis divisions, as well as, at CTF level. Duties:Direct the efforts of multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams in developing technical products for the CTF. Participate in the direct design and analysis of flight test and ground test missions and campaigns that are within the responsibilities of the CTF, including the development of pre and post-test analysis plans as well as products. Provide technical assistance in the development of new system test plans, policies and procedures, develop and participate in system test risk management processes, provide leadership in the BMDS Test Incident Report (BTIR) process.Advise the CTF sponsors on appropriate courses of action and technical approach for resolving BMDS T&E issues.Identify and evaluate mission risks and advise the CTF sponsors on potential mitigation measures.Establish and maintain effective reachback between Huntsville and Laurel to ensure timely delivery of technical products.Provide input to the APL project manager on task planning and status reporting.Qualifications:Required:BS in an engineering or physics discipline. 7 years in missile defense Test and Evaluation (T&E). Broad technical experience in test and evaluation of missile defense systems. Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) elements, components, organizations, test ranges, launch operations, test infrastructure, and test facilities (incl. MDIOC.) Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Desired:MS in an engineering or physics discipline. 10-15 years experience in BMD test and evaluation.
