We need you to help us make this a reality. We are hiring a front end web developer with advanced CSS skills to turn our designs into enterprise-scale websites for our stable Fortune 1000 customers including Time Inc, Sony, Mattel, US Airways, Sotheby’s, Century 21 -- just to name a few.
We're looking for candidates who are passionate about web standards, accessibility and creating great web 2.0 sites. The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, experienced and have an online portfolio of fully accessible sites coded in standards-compliant XHTML/CSS.
In this role you will:
· Be hands-on developing and implementing web content and design
· Work collaboratively with our creative department and the programming team and take ideas and creative designs to fully working HTML/CSS templates.
· Manage production and site maintenance
· Build sites with CSS only layouts, semantic HTML as well as utilizing JavaScript and AJAX.
· Experience of SEO issues and CMS environments would be an advantage.
· Provide advice and guidance best practices in web technologies and emerging trends.
To succeed in this job, you will have:
· BA/BS Degree
· At least 2 years experience with front end web development
· Proficient skills in: CSS-based web page creation (HTML, XHTML, CSS), JavaScript, XML, XSLT and Photoshop
· Solid understanding of SEO-optimization and multiple browser support
· Knowledge and experience with ASP, .Net and MS SQL experience is beneficial
· Previous experience working with Content Management Systems is highly desired
· Ability to work with others in a demanding, fast-paced environment
· Ability to juggle multiple projects.
· Excellent communication skills and be a team player.
