Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability

Our office located in Kendall Square, Cambridge seeks an experienced CSR/Sustainability expert to be part of the agency’s corporate practice. The expert will provide strategic counsel to our clients on their CSR and Sustainability programs, with a particular focus on the messaging and promotion (internal and external) of annual sustainability reporting. The position will report in to the chairperson of the New England practice. The CSR expert will also work collaboratively with other sustainability experts within the Weber Shandwick to serve national and global client needs. The expert will also be charged with identifying and hiring (internal hire or external hire) a mid-level PR professional to assist with the tactical implementation of CSR/S projects.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as strategic counsel to clients and provide consistent results for clients
· Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency
· Provide leadership in the areas of total account management, media relations and the provision of strategic guidance and counsel
· Supervise all writing and editing
· Possess excellent presentation and writing skills
· Edit work and provide direction to ensure quality control
· Provide leadership, direction and guidance to account teams
· Develop and coach account teams for peak performance
· Mentor individuals so that they are able to achieve their professional goals
· Key contact for internal staff to address issues
· Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations
· Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
· Structure and staff new and existing project teams, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
· Ensure that account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines
Qualifications:BA/BS Degree 8+ years advising companies on CSR/S initiatives 8+ years PR, Advertising, or Marketing agency experienceDemonstrated knowledge of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines Strong to superior written and verbal communications skills Strong knowledge of brand positioning and industry trends
· Must possess ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet fast turnaround deadlines
