Vice President of Media Services
Aptimus is looking for a Vice President, Media Services to join its growing Marketing and Media Services team. The Aptimus Media Services team manages proprietary and affiliate media for Apollo Group. Our current primary focus is on higher education on behalf of Apollo Group’s University of Phoenix brand. We are seeking a conceptual, innovative, strategic thinker to lead the proprietary and affiliate media planning process and team.
The Vice President Media Services is responsible for cost effectively driving site traffic and acquiring customers for Apollo Education brands through display, email, paid search, and affiliate channels. The ideal candidate will bring strong capabilities in the areas of direct response marketing, media planning/buying and cross channel optimization. This position reports to the SVP of Marketing and Media Services.

Responsibilities:
• Manage allocation of one of the Internet’s top 5 annual online marketing budgets with focus on media ROI
• Develop and drive online marketing plan that achieves marketing and revenue goals through online advertising, online partnerships, affiliate marketing and SEM
• Identification and management of partners to execute online marketing plan, including term negotiation, agreement execution, and ongoing partner management
• Measure and analyze performance of all online marketing initiatives and develop strategies to test and optimize campaign efficiency and maximize channel ROI
• Produce, analyze and track key performance indicators and develop initiatives to increase customer conversion rate and lifetime value
• Manage and hire a team of efficient, performance minded media buyers within the display, affiliate, and search media channels
• Employ quality assurance principles to ensure campaigns are launched and operating as planned • Stay abreast of new tools, trends, networks, and best practices in the online media industry
