Temporary Account Manager-Runner's World

Runner's World is recognized as the worldwide authority on running information, the mission of Rodale's Runner's World is to inform, advise, and motivate runners of all ages and abilities. Runner's World aims to help runners achieve their personal health, fitness, and performance goals, and to inspire them with vivid, memorable storytelling.

The Account Manager will be assigned to the Tri-State area with a focus on these categories (Financial, Travel, Auto, Consumer Electronic and Few Endemic (Nestle, EAS, Twin Labs, Amino Vital, Met-RX, Polar). The responsibilities include:
-Manage current running business with day-to-day communication (comp, extensions, general questions)
-Prospect for future business (via phone, email or meetings) for both online, print and events in the above categories. This could be done through the client directly or their advertising agency.
-Complete proposals and also track down proposals that Runner's World Media Group might not have received through corporate group or other titles.
-Follow-up with clients on either proposals submitted or integrated ideas presented.
-Create multi-platform marketing programs with Rodale Events and Sales Development
-Manage AMS for upcoming issues for both Running Times & Runner's World
-Work closely with Sales Development team to create added-value programs along with help execute.
-Entertain clients outside of the office
-Prepare client's background for management
-Bring last minute positions or opportunities to current running clients and prospects.
-Attend Sales Meetings every Tuesday
-Attend corporate meetings on the above categories
-Prepare for in-play accounts (dates pre-determined)
