Technical Writer / Grants Proposal Manager Government Services

We have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Writer/ Grants Proposal Manager in our Goverment Services department. In this role, you will provide administrative and sales support to District Managers and our field sales reps by writing and preparing proposals, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and other client correspondence.AppleOne is the nation's largest privately help staffing firm, and this is an internal, full-time position working within the company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:•  Produce and write client proposals (in Word, Excel, Quark) •  Maintain clear lines of communication with Government Services District Managers and Director of Government Services •  Research and gather background information on potential clients as necessary •  Put technical information into easily understandable language when preparing operating and service delivery manuals, sales promotion materials, and project proposals •  Plan and edit technical materials and oversee the preparation of illustrations, diagrams, and charts •  Contribute valuable, well-written information to company database to assist in responses to future RPFs, Requests for Information (RFIs) and Vendor applications •  Revise or rewrite pre-written material, searching for the best organization or phrasing •  Review and edit the work of other writers •  Support field managers and account executives on all Government Services procedures •  Attend meetings or conduct conference calls with key Government Services personnel when necessary to create appropriate responses to RFPs and RFIs for nationwide or large-enterprise clients •  Work directly with District Managers on technical subjects to prepare written interpretations of date and other information for general client or prospect readership •  Attend Pre-Bid Meetings as required •  Other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:•  2 years + experience as a technical writer preferred   •  Excellent written/verbal communication skills   •  Basic familiarity with technology, regularly using personal computers, desktop or electronic publishing systems, scanners, and other electronic communications equipment   •  Expected to establish credibility with internal customers through strong research and the use of appropriate sources and citations   •  Sustaining high ethical standards and meeting RFP deadlines are essential   •  Display technical writing proficiency   •  Ability to handle multiple requests in a time sensitive environment   •  Possess excellent grammar and proofreading skills   •  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision   •  Some sales or business environment background a plus   •  Handle unexpected issues as they arise in a composed manner   •  College degree preferred Searchable Keywords: Customer Service, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Recruiting, Job Placement / gj-mo Contact Information Company: AppleOne AppleOne is more than just a job.
