Technical Analyst - Advertising

Team Detroit brings together five of WPP's largest marketing and communications agencies in Detroit including: JWT, Y&R, Wunderman, Ogilvy, and Group M.  Implemented in January 2007, WPP restructured its service offerings to offer best-in-class talent and more effective marketing partnerships to its client base in Detroit, the largest of which is Ford Motor Company.  In additional to Ford, Team Detroit's roster includes:  Bosch, Delta Dental, DuPont Automotive, Oakwood Healthcare System, Shell, United Way of Southeast Michigan, White Castle, Compuware, and Dollar General.  At the moment Team Detroit is looking for a Tech Analyst to join its team. 

A Tech Analyst works with a Data Analyst and Data Lead to automate and then operate various data extraction, transformation, and transmission processes as well as reporting.  The Tech Analyst will also assist with various ad hoc data manipulation and reporting needs at well as testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:Design and implementation of computer programs and scripts to perform recurring data analysis tasks.Design and implementation of databases for data collection and analysis.Production and distribution of recurring data extraction and SQL - based reports.Assist in other database marketing services work as necessary.Recommend simplifications and enhancements to improve accuracy, delivery time, and cost.Provide the technical interface with external and internal technical groups.

Skill Requirements:Bachelor's DegreeMS Excel - VBA macros and Excel Automation from external programsSQL -preferably on multiple Microsoft data platforms including Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft AccessRelational database designDetailed reporting in a multi-task environment
