Survey Specialist 3

 

The Survey Research Division at RTI International has an immediate opening for a Survey Specialist 3 to assist with the management and implementation of large data collection studies in a variety of topic areas. 

 

Responsibilities  

 

• Hiring, training and managing data collection staff

• Working as task leaders and with project managers to develop, implement and monitor research designs

• Supervising data collection staff by taking weekly reports from field interviewers, monitoring field costs, progress and quality

• Training and supervising data entry, receipt and mail out activities

• Writing sections of data collection manuals, progress reports and Internal Review Board packages

• Working independently, with minimal supervision

• Meeting strict deadlines. 

 

Qualifications 

 

• MA/MS in social sciences such as sociology, psychology, or political science

• 2 years experience with telephone, web, mail or phone data collection activities

OR

• BA/BS in social sciences such as sociology, psychology, or political science

• 7 years experience with telephone, web, mail or phone data collection activities

• Presentation and publication record preferred

• Ability to travel occasional nights and weekends required
