We create and apply technologies to optimize the effectiveness of our customers' content creation, production, management, and distribution processes, helping them to increase productivity and profitability.We are currently seeking an experienced professional Software Engineer to be responsible for designing, documenting, developing and testing new features and enhancements for web applications. Candidates should be able to apply their experience and technical skills to monitor and ensure successful completion of projects. This position is for the full-lifecycle development of high-traffic Java web applications (with thousands of concurrent sessions).Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret functional requirements and specifications through close interaction with Development Manager and Development Team. Contribute to concept models and system architectures. Write production-quality code based on functional requirements while meeting implementation deadlines. Work closely with Quality Assurance, Documentation and Customer Support Engineers to implement core application features, custom features, business logic and user interfaces. Interact with Database Team to design data models and construct SQL queries. Build, deploy, and test application components in a development environment during the implementation phase. Create and maintain appropriate documentation during development. Required Skills Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving experience for implementation, debugging and testing. Experience with web application servers including Tomcat and Apache. Experience writing SQL queries. Experience with Eclipse and SourceSafe. Ability to work as a team player in a directed environment, but also to operate independently as a self-starter. Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
