If you’re ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents.  We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Writer for our Communications department.  Responsibilities:  Conduct initial reviews and edit work of the Writer, Research Assistant and Copyeditor; direct and monitor staff activities, work-flow and staff performance Write, edit, and review communication pieces and projects including:  brochures, direct mail, targeted letters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletter, phone scripts, surveys, presentations, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and external Fund website Edit communications from all departments that are sent to members and providers on a regular basis; create accurate, easily understood pieces with a unified message Schedule and manage project development deadlines working with Director, Production Manager and Copyeditor; refine guidelines to ensure that all communications are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and professional manner Review, revise, and make recommendations for communications from outside service providers such as Medco and HIP Implement and enforce internal communication guidelines and standards; manage, write, edit intranet content, review policies, and develop staff newsletter  Performs other responsibilities as assigned  Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Writing or related field required; plus Minimum of five (5) years relevant writing, editing, copy-editing and project management experience required Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience of exempt and non-exempt personnel and/or training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities to do the job Experience working in print and on-line communications and knowledge of print production and on-line media Demonstrated experience managing creative staff and working with production staff Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities and seeing projects through from concept to execution Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS Knowledge of health care administration, unions, or labor relations highly preferred Must be attentive to detail We offer a competitive salary, an excellent fully employer-paid comprehensive benefits package and talented professional colleagues.
