Senior Project Manager

Job description:This dynamic boutique communications firm specializing in the financial services industry is looking for a smart, accomplished, confident senior project manager. You’ll be working with some of the biggest names in the world of financial services, so it’s important to hit the ground running – we’ll need you to take projects and own them…from creative concepts through completed programs. Projects may include the coordination of integrated marketing campaigns, organization of photo shoots, direct mail communications and print/radio advertising.You’ll work in a loft building in New York’s wonderful Flatiron District, with a team of smart, fun, talented individuals who know how to work together to deliver the very best for our clients.  Responsibilities include:Day-to-day responsibility of projects and trafficking of all aspects of work related to the project.•  Coordinate the project team including creative, production, administration and billing•  Write communications strategy statements, creative briefs and presentation documents•  Develop timelines and project budgets•  Develop production specifications for projects, including sourcing print and mail quotes (supported by senior production resource)•  Write print purchase orders and mailhouse instructions•  Maintain and communicate project status including issues, deliverables and project progression•  Review vendor invoices and prepare client billingOversee creative development and production.•  Gather client input•  Draft and present communications strategy to client•  Run project kick-off meeting•  Work with creative resources to brainstorm concepts, package formats and tactics•  Review interim creative development with creative team and present finished concepts to client•  Work with photographers, printers and mailhouses on all aspects of production•  Work with media placement associatesRequired skills/ knowledge:•  5+ years experience in an advertising or marketing agency or from a similar position within a corporation, with proven marketing management experience. Familiarity with financial services, insurance, B-to-B and B-to-C communications is a strong plus.•  Outstanding organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.•  Ability to multi-task, balancing many projects for one client and/or many projects across clients•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents.•  Proven ability to create and maintain great client relationships•  Strong attention to detail and a sense of humor Benefits:•  Non-gated health plan— employer contribution is 80%.
