Story Worldwide is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Services for the South Norwalk, CT office.  This position is responsible for overall client satisfaction; overall client profitability and growth; strategic account leadership and consulting across clients and Story Worldwide; and management of designated staff.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Accounts Lead

o     Represent us to specified clients in face-to-face meetings and through appropriate communications channels.

o     Serve as “Client Advocate” to our staff to ensure client objectives and goals are understood, so that client is best served by us.

o     Serve as team member to clients, providing digital strategy leadership and continuously-growing indispensability through customer insight and service excellence.

o     Manage financial and project pipeline, ensuring visibility to revenue for twelve months and resource needs over six weeks.

o     Protect our best interests to clients and partners, and according to defined our development process.

o     Help evolve our process to ensure we deliver the best product to clients, and continue to build relationship with clients.

·         Projects Definition

o     Work with Department heads to ensure all projects are appropriately scoped, estimated, scheduled, managed and QA’d according to client and Story needs, capabilities, and process.

o     Liaise with Department heads and Producers within to ensure projects are completed to client satisfaction.

o     Continuous communications to team ensuring ongoing client needs are met.

·         Team Lead

o     Mentor and oversee staff of direct reports, ensuring the quality of their work, supporting them in their responsibilities, and guiding them along their career paths.

o     Motivate staff to encourage growth and personal as well as team development, and also build morale.

o     Serve as troubleshooting resource to staff, evaluating options and recommending solutions that best serve us and our clients.

o     Allocate direct reports’ time to ensure efficiency.

o     Evaluate direct-report staff twice per year and train staff to develop skills throughout year.

o     Manage vacation schedules and OOTO time to ensure account coverage as appropriate.

o     Discipline and reward staff accordingly.

o     Work interdepartmentally and within Marketing Services to help continuously define and police best practices and process.

o     Share team members with other Story teams as needed, based upon allocations bandwidth and/or expertise.

o     Set appropriate example for team in terms of professionalism and work ethic.

·         New Business

o     Work closely with Story management to improve our internal communications (i.e. extranet) and communications vehicles (i.e., web site updates).

o     Continually mine existing accounts for opportunities to deepen relationships.

o     Identify prospects that Story may approach to develop new business opportunities, ad then pitch them.

o     Bring in and kick off new accounts.

 

Goals/Deliverables

·         Client Relationships

o     Provide adequate “face time” to clients so that each thinks of us as an extension of the team so as to develop projects, be top-of-mind to execute projects, and fend off competition.

·         Managerial Reporting

o     Build and maintain prospect, project and account pipeline accessible to all senior team members.  Should include high-level project status, target/leads with call reports and pursuit plan, and revenue targets and plans to meet them via existing and new business/accounts over next twelve months.

·         Digital Strategies

o     Elaborate digital strategies for all clients (brands) with billings of minimum $50,000 per year that may be shared with all resources who may work on clients’ respective business.

o     Based upon digital strategies, develop ongoing work plans to help client focus work efforts toward longer-term engagements.

·         Financial

o     Build and Maintain pipeline through our tools.

 

As well, Senior Manager, Marketing Services may help build new business/new client relationships, and work across other teams as needed based upon allocations bandwidth, experience, relationships, and/or expertise.

Minimal Job Experience

·         4+ years of related experience

·         Digital agency experience a plus
