Senior Manager/Director - Quantitative Audience Research

 

Latitude, a boutique audience research firm located outside of Boston, is searching for a strategic thinker with excellent management, writing, and numerical skills to fill the role of either Senior Manager or Director of Quantitative Research. (Title, responsibilities, and pay commensurate with experience.)



The successful candidate will join our team as the leader in our quantitative research department, working on custom projects for some of the top names in online, print, television, and non-traditional media. 

 

The position would involve: Performing and/or managing all phases of audience studies - from creative study design, proposal writing, and questionnaire development to data analysis/interpretation, reporting, and client presentations. Oversight of best practices for quantitative fielding and data management on a company-wide basis Supervising/mentoring 2-4 project managers/analysts Strengthening ongoing client relationships and acquiring new clients

 

The ideal candidate would have:  A strong background in quantitative research with experience in a diverse range of methodologies Skilled in using statistical software packages such as SPSS Research experience in the social sciences, marketing, and/or consumer insights College degree and between 3-10 years of relevant work experience Interest in media, entertainment, consumer technology, and emerging web technologies and business models

 

Other desirable attributes for this position are: Entrepreneurial instincts An interest in innovative new research methodologies International experience Ability to leverage existing industry relationships to expand Latitude’s client base Background in computer science or programming (especially web-based languages) Background in applied statistics, econometrics, or psychometrics (etc.) Relevant graduate degree in business or social sciences
