Senior Director of Marketing & Communications
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for managing all branding, communications, public relations activities and demand generation for North America and Europe. This is the lead position of several teammates worldwide (Latvia and Russia), responsible for all branding, communications, PR, AR, demand generation campaigns, internal and external communications, web site development and maintenance, events and trade shows. As such, this individual is responsible for leading the effort to create and execute synchronized campaigns worldwide with strategic direction and messaging set by the executive management team. Consistency of the corporate message, while accommodating local nuances, is critical.
Coordination of branding and communications activities with major development centers in Riga, Latvia and St. Petersburg, Russia is critical. Riga, Latvia requires branding, messaging and communications support for recruitment of development personnel as well as new client acquisition. St. Petersburg, Russia requires branding and messaging relative to recruitment of development personnel in key regions.
This individual must have experience in the conception, design, execution and follow up of global communications strategies. The candidate must have managed in at least four major campaigns spanning at least three separate countries. The campaigns must include the coordination of internal, as well as external (local PR firms), resources. The candidate should be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the marketing function by producing an integrated marketing calendar and budget (or similar content) based on prior experience.
The two peer functions within the marketing organization are product management and product marketing. This team of three individuals manages all activities related to marketing, package development, positioning, and communications. Peer functions within other departments include sales, sales operations, sales support, financial planning and analysis, IT, process management and HR.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the brand identity for Exigen worldwide to ensure that our positioning and messaging is clear and consistent presenting Exigen with "one voice". Maintain Exigen’s global Integrated Marketing Calendar to ensure a consistent and relevant stream of activities with synchronized launch support for Practice and Package releases. Seek input from other functions and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive plan and ensure execution to the plan. Help develop, maintain and track the marketing budget.Design and execute public relations, launch and demand generation strategies (direct mail, tradeshows, events/seminars, webinars, customer programs, web advertising) to support corporate branding initiatives, service launches and revenue objectives. Ensure that the leads generated by marketing programs are properly assigned and continuously nurtured throughout post-event lead qualification process.Work with sales operations to track leads from campaign through closure and create regularly scheduled reports to track lead progress, revenue attainment and ROI.
· Support company objectives through the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies and plans with focus on the development of advertisements, collateral, white papers, case studies, newsletters and trade show messaging. Responsible for on-line and print production, implementing collateral hierarchy approach and inventory management. Manage Exigen’s public relations program and PR agency with the goal of enhancing Exigen’s image/reputation among key influencers and decisions makers, while also supporting the day-to-day and long-term goals of the business units being represented. Responsible for ensuring that the agency of choice proactively positions Exigen in the media and industry marketplace to effectively promote new business development, client retention, and industry leadership. Responsible for overall management and strategy of the corporate website. Responsible for ensuring the website accurately and clearly provides company and service portfolio information, provides a positive user experience, generates qualified leads, as functions as a tool and community for our customers. Develop and maintain an AR plan to build and maintain positive relations with the analyst community. Work with executives and product management to communicate business and product strategy to key industry influencers. Drive outreach initiatives that build rapport between top company spokespersons and selected industry analysts and guru’s. Drive for placement in key reports and ratings, including Gartner Magic Quadrants, industry awards and other recognition, to highlight unique accomplishments and influence leadership positioning. Effectively develop and secure analyst quotes and references in media campaigns and launches.Coordinate internal and external communications with regional marketing communications personnel worldwide. Provide assistance to regional personnel to conduct in-region PR and branding activities to aid in recruitment.
