Apex Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior BEA WebLogic Administrator.

 

Qualified candidates MUST have experience with the following:

· 8+ years experience in IT

· 2+ years experience doing solid BEA WebLogic System Administration

· 2+ years experience with change control process administration

· 3+ years experience with J2EE application development and deployment practices

· 2+ years experience with Unix/Linux System administration

· Working knowledge of change control toolsets (Ant Build Scripts, PVCS)

· Working knowledge of network security

· BA/BS in Computer Science or related field

· Excellent communication skills

 

Job Description:Define, implement and manage web infrastructure roadmap. Lead efforts to identify and document technical standards for web platform implementations. Responsible for setting up, configuring, supporting and managing the web platform (i.e. WebLogic) environment to ensure system reliability.  Support new web application deployments, scheduling and supporting system upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting application issues.  Define, review and document platform security requirements. Provide technical expertise on integration/configuration of peripheral infrastructure including permission management, LDAP, database, middleware and web servers.   Coordinate platform infrastructure needs for partner integrations.  Coordinate web platform infrastructure changes Participate in the technical design, implementation and deployment phases of the lifecycle Coordinate change control process for production releases Define and Manage Web Application build processes Assist in the non-production deployment processes Perform on-call support of production web application infrastructure
