We presently are looking for a Senior Account Executive to support one of our largest accounts in our San Francisco office. We are looking for someone who is passionate about video gaming. Duties and Responsibilities:
Senior Account Executives plan and execute client activities in a proactive manner with minimal direction from an Account Supervisor or higher-level supervisor. Senior Account Executives are expected to be able to independently plan and execute activities in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner. Senior Account Executives are expected to demonstrate independence and autonomy with respect to their responsibilities and must exhibit a deep understanding of clients and accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and editing high-quality written materials, including press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, tour reports, briefing books, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitch letters, Q & A's, and general client correspondence; being the primary and ongoing contact on the client's behalf to press and analysts; managing press and analyst tours; and keeping programs on track and ensuring program deadlines are met while handling multiple projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
Skills required include a background working on behalf of consumer technology companies, specifically video gaming or related technologies. Other requirements include existing relationships with the relevant technology media, strong written and verbal skills in both informal and formal client and business settings, solid understanding of public relations and marketing principles, strategic planning and implementation, strong client relations skills, knowledge of new business development, proven ability to effectively organize and manage resources, demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish, efficiency in word processing, database management and online research, demonstrated ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments, ability to manage and motivate junior staff and a positive, flexible attitude that will lend itself to client service.
Education and Work experience:
Minimum of three to four years public relations experience is required, preferably with some PR agency background. BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or PR related discipline.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory responsibility; however, the position does involve managing the efforts of Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives on the team.
Travel Requirements:
Regular on-site support at local client sites is required. Occasional travel also may be required to support client trade shows and other events and to assist with media tours.
